About Our Name

One of my new goals in life has been to capture the moments of a child's silly face or a sweet tender moment of a newborn sleeping.

I have 3 children. One son has just turned 20 and two children who live in a more glorious place than earth - Heaven. In 1999, God had taken two of my children home to be with Him. Courtney had just turned 15 and my youngest son Micah was 9 1/2. I cherish all the photos I have of them, good or bad. Even the old pictures taken with the nasty 110 film. I often wished that more natural pictures were taken that express more of who they were.

Our name DoodlePie came from my two angels. Courtney Pie is what I call my daughter and Micah Doodle was fitting for my youngest. Thus the name DoodlePie came into being.

I enjoy capturing the moment of other children because in a blink of an eye, they will all be grown up.
